Homemade Protein Bars

Free Recipe Video

Protein is an essential nutrient for bodybuilders and guys looking to add lean muscle mass. The problem with protein often becomes a matter of connivence, and taste. Chicken gets boring, plus it isn't easy to take to the gym, that's why many lifters turn to protein bars. They are convient and for the most part taste pretty good. And so they should, they are basically candy bars with protein added in.

Try this free protein bar recipe, you'll be glad you did...

Protein Bars provide a meal supplement that is quick and easy to eat while on the go. It's also easy to make your own protein bars at home with the right recipe.

We are all pretty busy these days making it next to impossible to get a fresh, well-balanced meal that’s ment to build lean muscle or help with your fat-loss goals. Turning to fast food or convient junk food snacks is often the easiest thing to do, but an unwise decision, nutritionally speaking. So what many fitness enthusiast do is grab what they think is a healthy alternative, a protein bar.

Unfortunately, most think they’re doing themselves a favour when they opt for a protein bar, but this often isn't the case. That's because comercial protein bars are little more than glorified candy bars. The manufactures add in protein and call it nutritious.

Just take a look at the ingredients and you'll see just how bad they are.  A good majority of the time the first ingredient is glucose-fructose syrup.

The bars you make in this recipe are good for you, and they taste great. Don't waste your money on the the comercial crap you get in the store, make your own and fight the fat.

Muscle Building Foods - Maple Muffins

Muscle Building Muffins

I love the smell of bread.  There is nothing like the smell of bread as it bakes in the oven.  I know why bread makers were so popular.

It makes me hungry just to think about it.

But...

when it comes to putting on lean muscle mass beads are not the way to go.

That is because breads are high in carbs and don't have enough protein. Not a good combination when it comes to packing on size and strength.

People often turn to muffins as an alternative and a healthy snack or meal option.  I know I have, that was until I took the time to look at the label.

Muffins are chopped full of sugars and fats, plus a whole host of other ingredients that I can't even pronounce.  Not a good food for those looking to build muscle, even worse if you are looking to get lean and toned.

Thank goodness my buddy Dave, has come out with a bodybuilder cookbook with over 200 healthy muscle building recipes all great tasting and healthy.  I stole one to share with you.

Today I want to share with you one of Dave's killer recipes, Maple pecan high-protein muffins.

Give this healthy muscle recipe to try and let me know what you think.

Testimonials on healthy bodybuilding recipes contained in Anabolic Cooking
My dream was always to be a fitness model... I used to do some modeling, but I really wanted to combine it with my passion for fitness.
But, just like most people, my nutrition knowledge was poor and my cooking skills miserable. My diet was boring and to be honest, absolutely disgusting! So I decided it was time for me to change!
